Martin was born and raised in Chippenham, and having left school at 16, he decided that he would follow in his fathers’ footsteps to become a Plasterer. Martin worked as a Sole Trader subcontracting to many of the local Drylining Companies whilst he honed his skills, until he set up MPR Plastering Ltd. After a successful period of running MPR Plastering Ltd, Martin joined forces with Simon to create Knight & Riddell Plastering Ltd.

In his spare time, Martin has a busy social life, which includes raising his three children alongside wife, Victoria. He also spends his spare time coaching two local Chippenham football teams (which two of his children play for and his eldest child volunteers as coach for). In his other spare time, Martin is a keen athlete and competes in Crossfit, Hyrox and Triathlons, which included making it to the World Championships of Hyrox in Nice in 2024 and Manchester in 2023. This year Martin has his eyes set on completion of IronMan, Wales, in September 2025.

Having been raised in her younger years in Chippenham, Victoria moved to Norfolk as a teenager and completed school to pursue the working environment. At 16 she took a secondment opportunity to move and work in Jersey, Channel Islands. After returning to the UK in 2004, Victoria entered the world of Banking and spent many years climbing the corporate ladder, developing and studying in Finance. After the financial crisis of 2008 and the lending restrictions that were imposed within the Mortgage Industry, Victoria decided to make the move to the world of Business Management and spent time working within the IT sector managing high value relationships. Following the birth of her first child, she decided to return into the world Finance, specialising in solutions for the Miliary and Police. After the birth of her second child and post Covid, Knight & Riddell Plastering Ltd had grown so quickly that Martin and Simon needed internal support, which led to Victoria making the decision to enter the world of Construction, joining forces with Martin and Simon in 2022.

Outside of work, Victoria is busy raising their children, supporting theirs and Martin’s hobbies, supporting care of her parents, and in any spare time she has she will visit the gym or meet up with her friends. Victoria loves to travel abroad and has hopes of one day, being able to purchase a property in Spain.

Simon is again, born and raised in the roots of Chippenham and having left school at 16, he took his hand to working for a Damp Proofing company. He later trained as a Plasterer and has never looked back. He ran his own successful company Simon Knight Plastering Contractors Ltd until he and Martin joined forces in 2015.

Simon has three daughters with his wife Hayley, his eldest is at University, another completing A-Levels and their youngest making her way through Primary school. As a family they enjoy to travel and all enjoy music and entertainment. They are regular visitors to local and national gigs/concerts.

Paul has recently joined us from his previous role as Operations Manager for local building company and has a wealth of experience working for National House builders as a Site Manager. Paul and Simon have been close friends for 20+ years having met each other through the Construction industry.
 

Paul is now working in the position of Director of Developments for K&R Group Ltd.

Outside of work Paul is in a band called Tin Shack Band and is partner to Cheryle and father to their daughter Jess. He is a Grandfather to Ezra and Savannah and loves to spend time with his family.

Chris has over 30 years of experience in the Dylining Industry, initially working for the family business through to eventually taking over the business; Barnes Drylining Ltd. In 2022 the Company closed its doors and Chris transitioned to working for other Drylining companies.

Following a period in the commercial sector, Chris joined us with the ambition to enhance processes and expand the K&R Drylining division.

Outside of work Chris enjoys carp fishing, travelling and spending time with the family. He has two daughters, two grandchildren, a teenage stepson and a Frenchie!
